At the time of Empress Sissi's visit to Trauttmansdorff Castle in 1870, the estate was also used by her personally. Richard Strauss often stayed in the Castle from 1922 to 1933. The estate was completely renovated in 2000. The historical character was preserved and combined with contemporary interior design.
